I tried out Cook's Illustrated recipe for Maple Pecan Pie yesterday. I had high hopes for the pie because I love pecan pie, and I love maple syrup. I used the Pillsbury crust and Grade B maple syrup, which has a stronger maple flavor. The pie is good, but not as good as the pecan pie made with corn syrup. At least on the first day. We'll see how it is when I get back home tonight.
