Summer of socks

After finishing my sweater back in June, I spent the rest of the summer knitting socks using Priscilla Gibson-Roberts' Simple Socks as a guide. I'm currently frustrated knitting a baby sweater, so decided to cheer myself up by reviewing my sock adventures.

Aqua blue socks for Ivan

Pattern: 3k, p1 rib

Notes: Knitting children’s socks on sport yarn is very satisfying and quick!

Monkey socks for birthday present

Pattern: Monkey by Cookie A (lace only)
Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll Tonal in Deep Waters
Dates: 20 July - 2 Aug 2013
Notes: Pattern is fun and easy to memorize. 

Forest green socks for Nikita

Pattern: 3k, p1 rib
Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll Sport in Forest Heather
Dates: 3-10 Aug 2013
Notes: Nikita has worn these socks numerous times already - and it isn't winter yet!

Wydaho Sunset socks for me

Pattern: Rhombus Rib Socks by verybusymonkey (lace only)
Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Multi in Bittersweet
Dates: 11 Aug - 2 Sept 2013
Notes: Perfect pattern for this yarn, but twisted rib is a pain.
