Nightstand to read: The Way Things Work, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (illustrated by Arthur Rackham), a book on Redwood trees. All for Nikita, who got the last book from the library. No books for me, but will resume Alias Grace on tape.
Knitting needles: Nikita's Transformer hat on size 4 needles. Started it early last week, cursing the invisible cast on. God willing, I will actually finish it this time.
CD player: Beniamino Gigli in London: opera arias, songs, ballads. Ivan seems to prefer him to Caruso - just like his mommy.
DVD player: La Traviata with Anna Netrebko, Rolando Villazón, and Thomas Hampson (Don Giovanni to Nikita)
Agenda today: Prepare and rehearse presentation (for a conference that takes place in two weeks!), comment on minireviews from a class. Thank goodness I got my two swims in this week!
