Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James

Although I generally avoid sequels to classics, I was intrigued by this one because it was written by the famous mystery writer. Unfortunately, the book is so disappointing that I will not finish it. The writing lacks the wit of Jane Austen and the characters do not hold my attention - Darcy doesn't speak until chapter 5! Perhaps it is unfair to expect P.D. James to write in Jane Austen's style, but then why bother to write a story that includes her characters?
