21-month milestones (so far)

• Goes down the stairs by himself, backwards. He's been able to do this for a while, but now he actually can start going down by himself, as opposed to expecting us to hold his hand while he descends forward. Of course, now we have to lock the door to the basement.
• Will sit still for a few minutes trying to figure out how to assemble a shoelace, belt, or snap buttons on his clothes.
• After days of trying to get him to say his name, he refers to himself as "Bar-bit".
